Day 2 in NYC
Anyone know why this city is called "The Big Apple" me neither but I intend to find out by Friday. Wow we did a lot today. We walked close to 10 miles. Adam was wearing his pedometer. We saw everything. Including another homeless man with his wang hanging out. At least he wasn't jerking off like the guy from yesterday! We went to The Village (I think) and Grand Central Station. That was AMAZING! We also saw Times Square again, Rockefellar Center and the south end of Central Park. We had some awesome food and went to a tea house too. We got a ton of pics that I can't wait to share with you guys. I'll get them posted just as soon as we get home. We did not go to ground zero today. We thought it might be too sad and also too crowded but we are definetly going before we leave. Adam was our tour guide today. Thank goodness for Adam, as we ran from train to train and one time I didnt enter the circular entrance correctly and we couldn't go further. Chad and Adam had already entered but I couldn't so they had to come back out. I guess if you don't enter just right and then you swipe your metro card again it locks you out so that people can't let all their friends thru on their card. Makes sense but geez, give me the dumb tourist exception. I also got a pic of Chad and Adam with the naked cowboy in Times Square. Very strange. I think we're hitting the museum tomorrow and then the Empire State Building afterwards. At first I as we got started today I thought to myself "how could anyone live here?" It's dirty and stinky and crowded. But by the days end I found myself adapted to the stink and mess. I think that at the end of the week when I buy my required "I Love NY" t-shirt that I may truly mean it.
