Back in January during our back to school rush I had an angry customer complain to me about my worker Garn ( you remember him from some earlier blogging.) Well I thought she was completely full of shit and didn't really give her any satisfaction she was looking for. So she went to my "boss" on campus to complain about her incident in the bookstore and how the manager wouldn't apologize to her for what Garn "did' to her. I ended up having to give this woman tons of discounts and I did apologize because I knew it was the right thing to do from a customer service point of view. Although my on-campus boss said she saw my side and agreed with what I did but apologized to the customer on my behalf to appease her. Fine. I left it at she's a winy baby who didn't like the price of my books and complained enough until she got them all at discounts that cut deep into my profit margin. She won't be the last person to freak out when something doesn't go her way in my store. I've been yelled at by much worse.
So my beloved Jamie is leaving the bookstore to pursue her nursing degree. I have been recruiting replacements for a couple of weeks but have come up short. Finally I decided to send out an e-mail to the campus for the position. Well, not even an hour after I send out my email does Bitchy McBitch come in to apply for the job. I mean how much nerve does she have to want to work for the person she complained about 4 months earlier. She even got a co-worker come to me and give me a sob story about how she's going through a divorce and really needs the job, blah blah blah. Of course I was sweet as candy to her when she cam in, letting her think she stood a chance. She's got to be pretty God damned stupid to think I'd even let her empty my trash let alone help run my store. All I gotta say is karma is a bitch and you get what's coming to you.
