Sold!
My house sold! Yea! It went on the market Friday evening and sold basically on Sunday but I didn't hear about it until Monday morning. Got two contracts on my house, went with the one that looks less shady. An investor is buying my house and for anyone living in the valley right now, the investors from California are the devil that are ruining the pricing on the houses. But I don't care because he gave me $1600.00 over the asking price and I needed this thing sold so I can get in to my new house also cause I can't possibly bare to show this house to anymore people. I hate living like a neat freak, having to put everything away so the place looks bigger or cleaner or whatever. Before I told Chad on Monday morning he got a knock on the door. He had to show the house to some guy who showed up without his realtor. Was asking too many questions and sounded to eager. don't know what he thought would happen since he didn't call before he showed up and the house is on lock-box and he'd need someone to let him in anyway. Jerk.
Bad thing is I got a call from my buyers realtor and they want to come to inspect the house on Thursday because of my disclosure form I filled out of the history of the house. We had an explosion back in 1998 (see picture above) and that is apparently a concern to him. So I have this very awful feeling that I may have just lost my sale. He shouldn't care since he's gonna turn around and probably make $20,000 profit after he "fixes" it up. I am now in panic stress gonna-think-about-it-till-its-done mode.

A new house awaits
So I finally won a contract and I absolutely love the house. It's out on 107th and Dear Valley Rd. about 10 miles from where we are now. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a gas fire pit in the backyard, and a tiki hut/gazebo. There's enough room for the hot tub I've always wanted and for Chad's new pool table. It is gorgeouse inside. If all goes well with selling this house, we get to move in to the new one on Memorial Day weekend. I don't want to jinx this but I just had to show the pictures I got off my cell phone. They are not great but you can atleast get a clue on what the new house looks like. The neighborhood is very cute, quiet and our street goes up a hill and curves to the left, named Angels.
Selling a house is no small task. Our house went on the market Friday night and we got bombarded with phone calls Saturday morning and they've been coming strong through this afternoon at 5:00. So far it's been Mexican family's with atleast 5 family members coming to see the house at any one time. I had to leave the house everytime someone came to see it. I also had to take the dog with me and that just wore me out yesterday. Today, Amy was nice enough to let me crash at her house. She fed me and let me sleep on her couch. My crazy hyper realtor (pictured in the tiki hut photo)says we should have this thing sold in a matter of days because the Phoenix house market is out of control. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

One of my brighter moments
Went and got a car wash yesterday. After being flabbergasted from paying 2.45/gallon I pulled in to the automatic wash. As I was sitting I felt a drop of water hit my arm and I panicked and started looking around to see if I had left one of my windows cracked. Windows secured I figured it must be the sun roof that's cracked so I push the button to close it but I was moving so fast to avoid being soaked that I opened the sun roof instead of closing it. It got about 3 inches open before I could stop it and get it going in the opposite direction. I didn't get completely soaked but I did get a great laugh at my stupidity and my interior got a quick wash!

im a slacker
I know I haven't blogged in almost a month. I've been very unmotivated. I was on vacation last week. looked at some houses, mostly overprices crap. Got on a waiting list to be called so I can be put on the waiting list for some new build houses down the street on 67th ave. they were supposed to call monday but I have yet to here from them. Other than some small home improvement all I did on my vacation was watch movies, play video games not much of anything. I was forced to take a week off because I have accumulated too much time off and they said I'd lose 5 days if I didn't take them right away. So I didn't get to plan anything because everyone else I know was working. The realtor finally came out to look at my house and he said everything looked great except we needed to take down Chad's pool room. Well Chad wasn't thrilled about it but he tore it down. I forgot what it used to look like and I have a huge back yard! The pool table is all but destroyed from all the rain and the leaky roof over the patio. I am getting pretty tired of looking for a new house but I have to sell my house now so I can cash in. Another year or two and I'll be lucky to get 130,000 for it. I ended up going with Karin's realtor. He sold her house in 2 days. He says he'll do the same for me. my last realtor didn't call me for two weeks and then got butt hurt that I had dropped her for my new realtor. He did more for me in the first day I met him than she had done in three weeks.
Working by myself today. Amy is in Atlanta for the textbook manager conference. i hate working alone. I don't get anything done cause I am constantly up at the cash register. I am so tired of working with the same idiots day in and day out. Atleast if they were new idiots I'd have someone new faces to hate instead of the same 10 retards I have to deal with every morning. This job has jaded me. It won't be long before I am taking people out atop a high clock tower.
