welcome to the 21st century

Chad and I finally have high-speed internet. Up until yesterday we were using dial-up. Now blogging won't be a chore since I won't have to wait a week for the page to come up. Fabulous!

Chad and I after our fab dinner outside.  Posted by Hello

Time well spent

Amy and I went to see Madagascar today and if there's a creapy smelly guy to be found well then he was sitting next to me today. I sat down with my popcorn and he says to me "they sell popcorn here?....genius!" then he says "they also sell hotdogs.... do you like hotdogs?" I told him no and gave him the you're-a-perv-leave-me-alone-psycho look. Then as the move started he started flinging his arms at the screen and twirling them and makeing finger gestures that didn't mean anything to anyone but him. He finally calmed down and then a family came and sat down on the other side of him (his left side) and he moved his drink from his right side to the left side where the family just sat. Then half way thru the movie he gets up and moves to the seat directly behind me. I had to breathe thru my mouth the whole time. I swear I have some sort of weirdo magnet on me.
Haven't had much time to blog. This is because I am obsessed with Animal Crossing, this game on the nintendo gamecube. Chad, Amy and two of her freinds and me are all playing it on a daily basis. You have to because there is too much to do. You have to decorate your house, write letters to the mostly snooty neighbors, send your fossils that you've dug up to the museum and then when they send them back you have to go donate them to the local museum. Not to mention all the fishing, digging, clothes designing, bug catching and shopping to be done. It's awesome and it's using up any free time I have. Then Amy and I will talk about it at work for like half an hour and look up advice and cheat codes. My name is JoJo ( JoJobear is my name in the game) and I addicted to Animal Crossing!

Driving mishaps and oddities

I was driving to work and I saw a truck with 5 golden caskets in the bed. Don't know where they were going or if they were empty. Kinda spooky but they were also kinda pretty. Then last night I was driving home and my right foot fell asleep so I eased it off the gas and was coasting to a gradual stop but was coming up on a stop light pretty fast so I thought "I'll just use my left foot to push the break!" (I drive a 5 speed for anyone who doesn't know) well let me just say that was one of the stupidest and scariest things I've done in a long time. I was still in 4th gear and was dong about 45mph when all of a sudden the car just locked up and came to a dead stop in about 3 seconds flat. the whole car was engulfed by the smoke coming off my tires and the whole time I was waiting for the guy behind me to crash in to me, but man thank goodness he was paying attention and had enough time to stop, although not sure how considering it was like I had hit a brick wall I stopped so fast. I don't know what possessed me to do that and forget I was still in gear. I've been driving a manual for 10 years and you'd think that was my first time out. So I put up some more pics of the house in case anyone wanted to get a glimpse. I haven't put up the master bedroom yet because it's not really ready to be seen yet.

you pay extra for no light pollution

Moving day was a complete nightmare. One thing after the other and although they all fixed themselves within an hour or two, each one was enough to make me never want to move again. Today I opened the last box. I have unpacked everthing except Chad's personal belongings which are still sitting on the bedroom floor. I got all my beanies in the cabinet. I never realized how many I had. I started putting each one in with a plan and by the end I was throwing them in on top of one another so that I could just get the doors closed. I will get pics up just as soon as I locate my camera. It's so quiet around here. We can actually see more stars than just the big dipper at night. The drive to work is actually pretty good even though I don't have a straight shot no matter which road I take but sacrifices for the better home is worth it. Chad installed a doggie door for Shadow and I caught her sun bathing in the grass yesterday. So far this is the best purchase ever.
